Workshop Vacancies

We had a really good response to iour first set of coursrs, and had more than perhaps was comformatble. However, I do hope that those starting will cpontinue and also come to the individual General query sessikons where we can attend to their individual needs.

However, if you are a new to computers please let us know and if we have enough demand will wil run an other course as soon as we are able to. 

Please note that ourt "Getting Started with Computer Workshops I and II are now fully booked. 

We have now issued our programme to run into 2012 details are given below.  If anyone has any ideas or additional subjects that would like to see covered, then please let me know.

Please note changes in the programme date.  due to tutors Hospital attendance the course scheduled for the 26/1/2012 has had to be changed to Friday 3rd February 2012 for both the morning and afternoon sessions.

Please also note a further change The course on "Browing the Web", scheduled for 9th March 201223 has had to be re-scheduled for Friday 16th March 2012.

Subject and Tutor led Workshops will be at £5.00 per session.

Query Workshops will remain as present at £5.00 per session.

All tuition and time provided by the team of helpers is given free of charge, the session fees cover room rental, refreshments and use of internet facilities.

In order to provide the best learning environment, we will have a limit of 10 places on the tutor led workshops, and 12 places on the general query workshops.

Brochures outlining the workshop program can be downloaded below and  also details are disp-layed at Ottery St Mary and Sidmouth libraries, who have been supporting our efforts. You can also keep an eye on the Community Hall notice board.

We are always looking for people with computer knowledge to help assist us in our sessions, and helpers do this on a rota basis, so the commitment at maximum is twice a month, but often once a month for a Friday morning. So if you think you can assist people to get involved with computers and wish to help then please contact Martin Dace at the contact points provided.

 Village Web SiteWe need more organisations to take an active part in getting their details onto the village web site.   We have already received a number of enquiries from people both locally and around the country asking after details of village clubs and societies.  We pass these on, and will continue to do so.

What we would like, however, is for more organisations to put their details on the site.  This does not require you to do any work other than provide  its details, photos or graphics, and we will do the rest!  If you are interested then please download the web site guide and contact us, we would love to hear from you.
